Temporal pattern discovery deals with the discovery of temporal patterns of interest in time series or temporal sequences, where the interest is determined by the domain and the application. Below are some examples of temporal patterns of interest:
Customers who buy laptops on a computer company’s site in a trans-• action, frequently buy printers from the same site on a later transaction. This is an example of a frequent sequence.
