Like the alluring words on an exotic image of a holiday advertisement, the title “Security in Post-Conict Africa” makes use of big but ambiguous terms. e ad’s promises are uncertain until the small print is examined. What, then, is this book oering when it speaks of Africa, security, post-conict, nonstate, and policing?
