ABSTRACT

Many different external forces can be accounted for when formulating a mathematical model governing the behavior of any phenomenon. While some of these forces can have an impact on the system that is realized immediately (e.g., a sharp blow or electrical surge), the effects of the others are noticeable only after a certain time delay. Extending our theoretical development to account for such a delay is the focus of the present chapter.
