ABSTRACT

Lab-on-a-chip research a nd applications ( Janasek et a l. 2006) seek changes of pa radigm t hrough t he miniaturization of chemical and biochemical analyses on microchips. Optics and optical probes have historically played an important role in analytical chemistry. In this context, opto uidics o ers potential solutions through optofl uidic light sources, where light is generated or manipulated in a micro uidic architecture (Psaltis et al. 2006, Monat et al. 2007).
