ABSTRACT

We have discussed a lot of theory and background, reviewed many tools and techniques, and described step-by-step procedures for applying them. Now it is fitting that we stop and put some of these things into context. What really works? What are the two or three things that always gum up the works? In this chapter, we walk through a Lean implementation at a very high level and stop several times to create journal entries. Keep these close by. They are the tips and hints, critical success factors, and warning signs. They have all been learned the best way-the hard way.
