ABSTRACT
Winter management of catfish in commercial ponds varies from contin ual feeding, to following feeding guidelines based upon fish size and tem perature (Stickney and Lovell 1977), to no feeding at all. Generally, feeding catfish through the winter months is recommended to prevent weight loss (Lovell and Sirikul 1974) and to maintain health and provide maximum re sistance of fish against bacterial infections (MacMillan 1985).
