ABSTRACT
An evaluation of the performance of a data fusion (DF) system, algorithms, and software is very important in order to establish confi dence in the DF system. Various performance evaluation methods for tracking fi lters have already been discussed in Chapter 4, and Sections 10.2.3, 10.3.3, and 10.3.3.2 discussed methods for tracking fi lter/image fusion when the reference image is either available or not available. In this chapter, the performance of various tracking fi lters and related algorithms for data analysis supported by image and/or acoustic data is evaluated.
