ABSTRACT

When we hear the term “corporate ethics,” we are reminded of WorldCom and Enron, companies whose corporate executives made fi ctitious fi nancial reporting to line their own pockets. Th is chapter begins with a discussion of general issues on ethics, law, religion, and education, then follows with a discussion on the ethics in society and culture, in corporate human relationships, and in research and development (R&D) by comparing U.S. and Japanese corporations.
