An example of this is a telerobotic rock breaker developed by the Commonwealth Scientic and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO) in Australia.* Integrated augmented reality and virtual reality technologies are being combined with video feeds. Operators can therefore see additional information such as virtual representations of the rocks and the ore bins (Figure 8.1A and 8.1B).
