ABSTRACT

Electronic commerce (e-commerce) can be defined as business activities conducted using the Internet and the World Wide Web. Generally, people think exclusively of consumer (business-to-consumer or B2C) shopping on the Web as e-commerce, but in fact, business-to-business (B2B) transactions account for a much larger portion of revenue generated directly by e-commerce. In addition, business processes that are not directly involved in the selling and purchasing of goods and materials account for the majority of business activities on the Internet.
