ABSTRACT
The first cases of Reye’s syndrome (RS) were observed at the department of Pathology in Hradec Králové since the year 1958 and first reported at the Congress of Czechoslovak pathologists on September 27, 1963, under the title of “Encephalitic Syndrome with fatty Degeneration of the Liver.”1
