ABSTRACT
A primitive model for the total number of crystals formed, Z, can be derived if one assumes that in a limited nucleation time, t0, a number of Z crystal nuclei of the (nascent) size, l0, are formed, and kv is the volume constant that converts the characteristic length, l0, to crystal volume. The mass volume of crystals formed, Vz [cm3], is given by Equation (1.1).
