ABSTRACT
In the context of machine learning, ANN and SVM are important models, not s an approach to develop artificial intelligence, but rather as universal nonlinear and daptive tools used to solve data-driven classification and regression problems. In his perspective, machine learning is seen as an applied scientific discipline, while he general properties of statistical learning from data and mathematical theory of eneralization from experience are more fundamental.
