ABSTRACT
Fires cause more death, injuries, and property destruction than any other threat. This is most illustrated in the residential area, where children and the elderly fall victim to death and injury more frequently than in a business situation. Fire safety and firefighting procedures are more practiced in the business community than in the home, and therefore, once a fire is discovered, correct response reduces injury and damage.
