ABSTRACT
Dilcher et al. (1992, p. 39) mentioned that the mimosoid specimen illustrated earlier in Boucot (1990a, after Schlee, 1980) as an example of a sensitive plant with its leaves folded together is probably an example of “sleep posture” that can be induced in mimosoids by either drought conditions or night.
