ABSTRACT
This chapter presents the locking of a ›ber laser in which the ›ber is of a birefringent type whose refractive index depends on the polarization of the lightwaves. The principles of operation and application to switching and very fast tunable ›ber lasers are described. Both theoretical and experimental works are discussed.
