ABSTRACT

The last chapter described how HR needs to redesign each HR process to achieve more value. Apart from making sure every HR process adds value, this chapter shows how the relevance for key HR initiatives is gained when they link to an organization’s current strategy. This chapter also covers how Lean business strategies, compared with traditional strategies, provide an even wider range of opportunities for HR to strengthen their overall relevance. Lastly, this chapter provides a new view for the HR department, where HR not only supports a business strategy, but can become strong enough to truly impact the direction of an organization and the achievement of key results.
