ABSTRACT

The case study ELINKstrobin explores how to link the fate and effects of a medium degrading compound that may be applied on several occasions and has several routes of exposure. Key questions are as follows:

How should the exposure patterns with repeated sharp or tailing peaks • with overlap be included in the assessment, particularly for chronic toxicity? How can ecological recovery potential be included in light of modeled • repeated events? How can variable exposure patterns with a baseline concentration and • repeated tailing peaks with overlap to chronic effect studies of various designs be compared?
