ABSTRACT

It is important to note that a teetering hub design reduces the loads on the turbine, thereby yielding improved dynamic stability. However, the advantages and

disadvantages of this hub design must be examined in terms of cost and design complexity. Monitoring sensors to record efficiency and turbine dynamic stability data must be collected randomly. Critical components such as rotor, generator, transmission system, and other components responsible for overall system efficiency, reliability, safety, and dynamic stability will be discussed in detail. Performance, reliability, structural integrity, and safety aspects will be investigated. Note that rotor dynamic stability is vital and depends on the number of blades and their airfoil characteristics.
