ABSTRACT
Pierre Gemayel, a leading anti-Syrian Lebanese minister, was assassinated while in transit on the streets of Beirut. He had been driving his vehicle with a bodyguard seated in the front passenger seat, and a second bodyguard in the back seat armed with at least one semiautomatic rifle. The vehicle had dark tinted windows all around. There was no known follow or lead car.
