ABSTRACT

Successful team leaders start with vision, passion, and working through their teams. They then use appropriate tools for assembling their team, assessing their potential, and mediating conflict. The role of a team leader is that of a mediator, guide, and servant (as opposed to a boss, manager, or disciplinarian). The team leader understands that at the end of the day, it all comes down to people. The true test of leadership is, first, whether anyone follows; and, second, whether those who follow are better for having done so.
