ABSTRACT
Leaving any conflicting information on the authentic inventor or the date of the invention, computer clustering is a means of achieving high availability through parallel computing. IBM has consistently claimed that one of its staff, Gene Amdahl, introduced parallel processing in 1967 [1]. Amdahl’s work consisted of a seminal paper on parallel processing where he showed mathematically that parallel architecture can add speed compared to serial configurations.
