ABSTRACT
An information model describes the data content of the system and how the data are structured. The information model is important to systems development because almost all systems contain a lot of data without which the system could not operate. Information model is performed during the analysis life-cycle phase. In this book we focus on how to model and design the information models. In implementation, the information model is almost always implemented as one or more databases in the enterprise or as a part of a computer application.
