ABSTRACT
Rooms and concert halls aren’t exactly musical instruments, but they do affect the sound of any music played inside them, and that is why I want to devote an interlude to talking about them. To start at the very beginning, the most basic problem in hearing a sound is simply picking up enough acoustic energy for your ear to work with.
