ABSTRACT
The differential is the most widespread and best known planetary gearing with two degrees of freedom. This mechanical system enables the two drive wheels of the vehicle to become cinematically independent one from the other during a curved trajectory, forcing the internal wheel to have a lower speed than the external outer wheel.
