ABSTRACT

The preceding five chapters have established the groundwork for evaluating alternative options to finance projects for water and wastewater systems. We know what annual payments look like, and what different types of annual payments there are (Chapter 2). We know how to reduce annual payments in different years to a common value by calculating their Present Values (Chapter 3). And, we know how to convert one-time costs to their annual cost equivalents. Now that we have covered the technical matters necessary to financially evaluate water and wastewater projects, we will turn to the methods of analysis, themselves.
