The Water and Waste Disposal Program of the Farmers Home Administration

The Water and Waste Disposal Program (WWDP) of the Farmers Home Administration (FmHA) of the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) is one of the oldest and most successful financing programs in the country. Founded under the Consolidated Farm and Rural Development Act in 1940, the WWDP was part of the New Deal's effort to alleviate some of the financial burdens of rural America.
