ABSTRACT

I. INTRODUCTION Since it has been reported that amorphous Fe-Cr-P-C alloys have extraordinarily high corrosion resistance in acidic environments, including hydrochloric acids [1 J, many investigators have started to study the chemical properties of amorphous alloys and several reviews have appeared [2-15]. These reviews mostly deal with corrosion behavior. Proceedings of a recently held symposium on corrosion, electrochemistry and catalysis of metallic glasses have also been published [16].
