ABSTRACT

The slipsheet concept can be simply demonstrated by placing a small carton on a sheet of paper on a table with the paper protruding out from under an edge of the carton. Grasp the protruding tab with your fingers and pull it along the table. The weight of the carton creates friction between it and the sheet, and it moves along with the sheet. Place your free hand flat in front of the carton and pull the sheet with the carton onto it. Move the carton to another part of the table and pull your hand out from under it while keeping it in place with the other hand.
