ABSTRACT
If we know the canonical form of a game then we know, at least in principle, who should win. But computing a full canonical form can be a lot of work! Sometimes if we’re only interested in a winner then shortcuts can be taken. In particular, if Left has a “large” advantage in some part of the game, then she may be able to ignore the rest of it.
