ABSTRACT
The industry has an excellent record of handling alpha olefins safely. Effective procedures have been developed for delivering alpha oletins of good quality. For the purpose of prevention, emphasis is placed here on proper handing of olefins. Although this discussion is based mainly on Ethyl Corporation experience, it is believed to be consistent with information supplied by the other U.S. suppliers, Chevron and Shell.
