ABSTRACT
B a i n [1] p reconcent ra ted s u l p h i d e i n n o n sal ine waters at levels of l - 1 0 0 0 0 p p b , at 0 .20V (vs A g / A g C l ) a n d d e t e r m i n e d b y c a t h o d i c s t r i p p i n g vo l t ammet ry . O v e r the concent ra t ion range of 0 -40ug L 1 the s t r i p p i n g peak he igh t is l i nea r ly p r o p o r t i o n a l to s u l p h i d e concent ra t ion , over the range of 40-10000pg L 1 a n d concentra t ions are ob ta ined f rom the ca l ib ra t ion p lo t . T h e detect ion l i m i t s are 0.20 a n d O.lOug L _ 1 for dc a n d different ial p u l s e s t r i p p i n g analys is , respectively, a n d the coefficients of va r i a t i on are 3.7% a n d 2.6% for 10 a n d lOOug L 1 su lphate .
