ABSTRACT
N d at higher temperatures than in pure M g . So, in the alloy with N d , twins formed up to
temperature 350°C as compared with only 250°C for pure M g . The evident migration of
the grain boundaries and formation of the serrated grain boundaries, which were typical of
hot deformation of pure M g , were not observed in the alloy with N d even at 400°C.
