ABSTRACT

Augmented Reality (AR) [Azuma 1997], [Azuma

et al. 2000] is a visualisation technology for dis-

playing virtual models real time in real world loca-

tions, with building and construction as one of

the most promising application fields; cf. [Klinker

et al. 2001], [Woodward et al. 2007]. Recent devel-

opments in mobile processing units, camera qual-

ity, different sensors, wireless infrastructure and

tracking technology enable AR applications to

be implemented even in demanding mobile envi-

ronments, see e.g. [Pasman and Woodward 2003],

[Izkara et al. 2007], [Behzadan 2008].
