Now, quality-specifications for paints to prevent the deterioration of concrete are shown in “Guidelines against corrosion by salt on road-bridge” (1984) for the newly established bridges as measures against salt-corrosion as issued by Japan Road Association, Judicial Corp. In this guideline, there are 3 types of paintspecifications, and all types adopt the paint of epoxyresin as shielding film against salt, while poly-urethane resin paint is used by its excellent weatherability as finishing coat. Table 1 shows the coating system of A-type used numerously in the actual result.
