Chapter 13 CLASS K: PIPEWORK - MANHOLES AND PIPEWORK ANCILLARIES
GENERAL TEXT Principal changes from CESMM 1 There were several changes to the divisions in this class. The depth classifications for manholes, chambers and ducts and metal culverts were changed (K. 1&2 * *, K. 5 * *). An additional item was created for trenches for pipes or cables not laid by the Contractor (K. 4 8*). New items for the crossing of existing sewers or services were created (K. 6 7&8 *), and the classification of the pipe bores was changed for crossings (K. 6 * *), and reinstatement (K. 7 1-5 *). A new item was created for the stripping and reinstatement of topsoil from easements (K. 7 6 0). Reinstatement of field drains are measured in linear metres instead of enumerated (K. 8 10).
