ABSTRACT

Abstract The purpose of this study i s to establish a simulation method of the behavior of fresh concrete at mixing, placing, consolidating, etc.. As one of the methods to estimate the flow and deformation of fresh concrete, a v i s c o p l a s t i c f i n i t e element analysis i s introduced, and some a n a l y t i c a l results are shown in this paper. Various consistency and rheology tests of fresh concrete or mortar such as slump test, flow test, v i b r a t i n g box test, and c y l i n d r i c a l rotation viscometer are simulated by using this a n a l y t i c a l method. The relationship between rheological constants and measured values by these tests are c l a r i f i e d based on the simulation method, and a method for estimating rheological constants from slump value and flow value i s proposed.
