ABSTRACT
Abstract In the end of the seventieth the more frequent occurance of cracks on the roads of the Federal Republic of Germany was the motive to develop a process c o n t r o l l e d t e s t i n g machine f o r the i n v e s t i g a t i o n of the behaviour of asphalt pavements at low temperatures. By t e n s i l e t e s t s and coo l i n g down t e s t s the infl u e n c e of the composition of as phalt concrete specimens on t h e i r behaviour at low tem peratures has been i n v e s t i g a t e d . On the way of mathema t i c a l a n a l y s i s by m u l t i p l e l i n e a r regressions the r e s u l t s of the i n v e s t i g a t i o n s are demonstrated i n charts.
