Each of the tables is accompanied by a brief explanation which describes the content of the information provided. A direct comparison between countries is not recommended where the availability of labour, material and plant resources in specific country locations may adversely affect costs. The tables, however, do allow for an initial synopsis of the construction industry. Any use of the data provided in a more precise situation needs to be carefully considered before a full and final projection of anticipated construction costs is made.
