ABSTRACT
Proper control of electrical conductivity is essential in optoelectronic devices. In this chapter we discuss two aspects: Section 3.1 deals with doping of the n-type and p-type layers, and Section 3.2 describes heterostructure band offsets, which play an essential role in carrier confinement.
