Averynon-uniformdistributionoftheelectricfieldintheareaclosetothecorona wireisasourceofdifficultiesinmodellingthecoronadischarge.WhentheFEMisapplied,a finediscretizationofthedomainisneededinordertohavesufficientaccuracyandsmoothnessofthesolution[4].TheBEMusuallyyieldsmuchsmoothersolution,butitisverytimeconsumingforPoissonianfields,asthecontributionofthenon-uniformspacechargemustbe integrated[5].
