Abstract. We have demonstrated the 13.9nm soft x-ray laser with full spatial coherence using oscillator-amplifier configuration with two gain media. We have obtained the highly directional x-ray laser beam with a beam divergence of 0.2mrad and confirmed the full spatial coherence by means of Young's double slit interferometry. The gain medium of the second plasma is generated in a low density area for avoiding the influence of refraction, where the electron density is about 1% of the critical density.
