ABSTRACT

One of the essential points in attaining Total Quality Management in any organization is training. It is so fundamental that in this chapter we address some of the issues and concerns that a company must internalize in order for it to establish appropriate and applicable training. This internalization begins with understanding what training and the learning organization are all about, and progresses into the foundations of appropriately designing and evaluating training. Some of the additional topics that we discuss are the adult learner, systems theory and instructional design.
