This list of approved colorants as per the Arzneimittelfarbstoff-Verordnung is identical to the list of approved food colorants; however, it does not contain (as per December 1994) the colorants E 128, E 133, E 154 and E 155,
This means a very early harmonization of the regulations, which has not been achieved for food colorants within the EU countries.1
