ABSTRACT
The one safety issue affecting the Channel Tunnel that has attracted more attention than any other is the risk of fire on a shuttle train, particularly a passenger-vehicle shuttle. In its own Safety Case published in 1994, Eurotunnel singled out a vehicle fire as the most significant risk to be addressed.
