ABSTRACT

The method of boundary integral equations and the analysed proce dures offer the possibility of studying some very interesting problems concerning the influence of holes of arbitrary shape in the plate on subgrade during the propagation of the vibration. In such a case the diffraction of the stress waves on the hole's boundaries is affected. The similarity of the problem with stress concentration about the holes in the static case is reinforced and transformed in dynamic problems because of dynamic increments in the resonance zones. These reso nances can be formed by certain ratios of wavelength to the dimensions of the hole.
