On the other hand, if there are out-of-plane restraints which prevent end deflection and twist (uL = (j)L = 0) as shown in Figure 9.1c, then the behaviour is similar to that of a simply supported beam which has restraints against minor axis rotation and warping at one end (w'0 = 0 O = 0).
