ABSTRACT

One is the pure volume of the calculations needed, making a full 3-dimensional calculation a very time consuming job. The other one is the lack of data on the material properties in the very early age of the concrete, which may make the calculations efforts less productive. The present paper deals primarily with the first difficulty suggesting that in a lot of practical cases a 3-dimensional analysis can be replaced by a 2^-dimensional analysis without loss of accurancy and with considerably smaller time consumption. The second problem about data on material properties will be dealt with very briefly.
