ABSTRACT
Fig. 13.1.1 shows a situation where the support moment from the large slab is balanced not only by the support moments from the smaller slabs, but also by the moment taken by the wall at right angles, which presents a short fixed part of the support of the large slab. Close to the wall , the support moment lor the large slab wi l l be larger than i f the edge had been fixed all along. In this case, the average slab moments on both sides of the wall are thus not the same, as some moment is taken by the wall at right angles.
