ABSTRACT
Abstract Realistic service life design of concrete structures depends on quantified modelling of deterioration and detailed characterization of environments. Models are rapidly improving and experience with their use is emerging. Design for durability has developed into a separate technical discipline called Durability Technology, which should be an integral part of structural designs, parallel in timing and importance to traditional structural verifications.
